Leonid Massine
abc Leonid Massine (1896 - 1979) was a Russian ballet dancer and choreographer. He began his career under the tutelage of Sergei Dhiaghilev at Ballets Russes and was the company's main star and choreographer from 1915 up until the death of his mentor.
He created the world's first symphonic ballet Les Presages and was responsible for many major works and some of ballet's most memorable characters during his career which saw him collaborate with the likes of Pablo Picasso and Rebe Blum.
